The 2006 Socialist Party National Organzing Conference will take place Friday August 4th through Sunday August 6th at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in Hillberry A and B in the Student Center Building. The theme for conference plenary will be “Bringing a Radical Perspective to Community Labor Organizing” and the conference will include numerous workshops and speakers from across the country on issues of importance to the modern socialist movement. The entire conference is open to the public. The conference will be preceded on August 4th by the National Convention of the Young People’s Socialist League followed by guerrila workshops and videos on Friday evening. Following the conference on Saturday will be a performance of Howard Zinn’s famous one-actor play “Marx in Soho” by Jerry Levy.
