March Demanding an End to the War On Drugs and Mass Incarceration in Michigan!

Posted on April 2, 2008

The Socialist Party of Michigan has sponsored a March to End the War on Drugs and Mass Incarceration in Michigan.

Friday April 18th
12:00PM -Meet in front of the
Union Building on Grand River Ave. in Lansing

The so-called ā€˜War on Drugs’ has gone on long enough. It is nothing but a lame excuse for the ruling class and the state to increase and maintain their strangulation and control of young people, black people, and poor people–the so-called, ā€œDangerous Classes.ā€ The police are all but unaccountable to the public. They are violent, repressive, and racist. We aren’t going to take it any more! Since jobs have left the state, and as the economy is withering away, the state has responded by throwing thousands of more citizens into state and county cages and dungeons. Instead of building hospitals, housing, and schools, the state has built more and more prisons for us to fill.
