Members of the neo-nazi National Socialist Movement will be rallying on the steps of the State Capitol building in Lansing on Saturday April 22nd from 2:00-4:00PM and members of the Socialist Party of Michigan will be participating in the anti-fascist counter demonstration. While open adherents to fascism remain a marginal movement in the United States, their capacity engage in crimes and attacks against minorities and working people remains a potentially escalating and all too frequently occurring danger. Fascist gangs additionally have the potential to be utilized by the ruling class when economic and political conditions require it to retain their rule. This threat is particularly perilous today, considering current foreign and domestic policy. According to the Lansing Coalition Against Fascists, the demonstration will begin at 12:30PM at Riverview Park.
